Bengal cat is basically a hybrid breed of the normal domestic cat and the Asian Leopard cat. It is an athlete, graceful, and also agile with a strong muscular body. Health – Bengals are healthy in general, but the pet owners should be very careful in taking care of the following diseases in your breed.

- Hip dysplasia
- Patellar luxation
- Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy
Care for Bengals – Most of the diseases to the Bengal cats occurred due to the improper care and maintenance. You should frequently comb short and thick body hair of the Bengals in order to remove the dead hair and distribute some amount of skin oils. A bath to the Bengal cat is rarely necessary. But the pet owners have to brush the teeth of Bengals to prevent periodontal disease. Check its ears weekly to clean dirt and wipe them out. The pet owners should avoid using cotton swabs because it can damage the interior of the ears. So, you can try using soft damp cloth or a cotton ball to remove unnecessary dirt from the ears of Bengal cats.
